Cuando vi este comic en la vidriera de una librería me quedé totalmente encantada. Se trata de una recopilación de tres historias de la época dorada, durante los años 30 de Mickey, que fue hecha en una edición bellísima en honor a sus 90 años. Las ilustraciones vintage son absolutamente preciosas, y dentro de todo el mundo Disney, la época del antiguo Mickey es mi favorita. Creo que el comic es ideal para fanáticos de Disney, y para chicos que recién comienzan con los comics. Las tres historias Cuando vi este comic en la vidriera de una librería me quedé totalmente encantada. Se trata de una recopilación de tres historias de la época dorada, durante los años 30 de Mickey, que fue hecha en una edición bellísima en honor a sus 90 años. Las ilustraciones vintage son absolutamente preciosas, y dentro de todo el mundo Disney, la época del antiguo Mickey es mi favorita. Creo que el comic es ideal para fanáticos de Disney, y para chicos que recién comienzan con los comics. Las tres historias son sumamente entretenidas, pero mi favorita fue obviamente "Los siete fantasmas". Una lectura rápida y nostálgica, hizo feliz a mi niña interior. ...more

"The Seven Ghosts" is one of Floyd Gottfredson's better Mickey Mouse stories. Mickey returns to town to find everyone terrified of ghosts. He eventually learns from Goofy, "It's on account o' Colonel Bassett's House! Th' place is plumb full of 'em!" Mickey, with the help of Donald and Goofy, offers to rid the house of ghosts, and the Colonel gladly accepts. Needless to say, there's more to these so-called ghosts than meets the eye …

Under Gottfredson, Mickey often played detective. But, as Geoffrey Blum points out in his introduction, this usually involved exciting chases and deadly peril, more action than deduction--not that there's anything wrong with that. It's nice to see Mickey in more classic detective mode, a la Holmes or Poirot. There are comedy hijinks, sure, but they're reserved pretty much for everyone but Mickey. He keeps his cool and his wits about him, and figures the whole thing out. It's a well constructed story that's a pleasure to read. Recommended!

I believe this was going to be a Gladstone "Giant" because the copyright page credits a one-pager and another story "The Case of the Vanishing Coats" while mine has nothing but the cover story clear until the last physical page. Very nice book I love the book

Tomo recopilatorio con historietas de los años dorados de Mickey que aparantemente no fueron recopilados en inglés.

Arthur Floyd Gottfredson was an American cartoonist best known for his defining work on the Mickey Mouse comic strip. He has probably had the same impact on the Mickey Mouse comics as Carl Barks had on the Donald Duck comics. Two decades after his death, his memory was honored with the Disney Legends citation in 2003 and induction into the Comic Book Hall of Fame in 2006.
